Dear GBA Parents, Faculty, & Students,

Grace Baptist Academy has been ministering in the Chattanooga for over thirty years.  We value this longevity, but more importantly we value lives God has allowed us to touch with the gospel.  We also value the high quality and Biblically integrated academics that have been here for so long.  In the early 90’s the academy was able to attain accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and that accreditation has continued since then.  The Southern Association (SACS) has now been incorporated into a larger body called AdvancED.  Accreditation is a valuable endeavor because it places emphasis on building quality programs, accountability, continuous improvement, and working as a community.

Grace Baptist Academy had its last accreditation review in 2013 which went very well.  We set some important goals, and had some suggestions from AdvancED that we have worked on and have been very beneficial to our program.  Now that we are into the 2017-2018 school year we are preparing for another regularly schedules review from AdvancED.  The official date of our review is April 17-18.  We have some assessing and tasks to complete before this date, but we are on our way to being prepared for this event.  There will be some opportunities for you to be a help in this process, so if called upon, please help.

Thank you for your support of the academy, and for allowing us to work with your students.

Mr. Hicks

Asst. Principal for Accreditation

He saw the rooms where they'd hung out, where they shared their stories, had sung their songs and told their jokes; rooms that were not unlike those where most teenagers share their lives with those first few friends. Insulated from 'the world outside',.....( READ MORE)

GPA's Tennis Ball Toss

GPA will be hosting the next  "Tennis Ball Toss" (flyer attached) Friday, September 22, after  the home football game vs Boyd Buchanan. Be sure to stop by the GPA table before & during the football game to purchase your tennis balls.   1 Tennis Ball = $1  and you can buy as many as you want!!  Following the football game & once all football players have exited the field, contestants who have purchased tennis balls will line up in the stands facing the football field. At the sound of the horn, contestants will throw their tennis balls towards the container set-up near the 50 yard line.  The tennis ball that lands inside the container will  WIN a  Bones Smokehouse 10 person Party Pack!   (If more than 1 tennis ball makes it into the container, a winner will be drawn at random.)  Proceeds from the  "Tennis Ball Toss"   will help fund current GPA initiatives.
