I am so excited to be here at Grace Academy.  I know that with God’s help we will have a great year.  My goal is for your child to learn in a Godly environment.  I hope the enthusiasm I have for my classroom is shared with your child and you see great things this year in third grade.

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I came to know the Lord at the age of 18.  I have felt his call on my life to be a teacher.  I truly know that I am in God’s will when I am in the classroom teaching.  I can’t explain how overwhelming it is at times to see Him work in my class and move in the way, that only He can. This will be my thirteenth year of teaching and my tenth year of teaching third grade.  This will be my third year at Grace.

My husband Terry and I have been married for 18 years and currently teach an adult Sunday school class together at our church.  I am a mother of a 9th grader and 7th grader who are here with me at Grace.  Our family is also in the process of an international adoption to China.

I believe that you and I have a special relationship.  We have been called to train your child in the ways of the Lord. I know that the only way that we will be able to have true success this year is by having open communication with one another.  I want you to know that I care deeply about children and especially my students.  I only want what is best for each one of them, so please feel free to let me know about any concerns that you may have about your child.  You may email, send notes, or call me with any questions that you have.

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with your child.  Please make a commitment to pray for our class daily.
