About Mrs. Minnis Minimize

Hello!  I am so thankful to be a part of the Grace faculty!  I have taught for 29 years, and 13 of those years have been at Grace Academy.  I grew up in Maryville, Tennessee.  When I started attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, I entered planning on a degree in Business.  However, when I was a junior in college, God very clearly led me to change to the field of education, and a new love in my life was begun!!  Though I have taught every grade from 1st through 6th, I have a very special love for teaching 2nd grade.  My husband Jeff and I have been married for 30 years, and we have a daughter who is a freshman at Lee University.  We are so thankful that she received a wonderful Christian education at Grace before now attending Lee University.  We attend Woodland Park Baptist Church.

Hi Parents! Important notes:                                   :

1)  Homework - Please remember that my heart for your children is that they be the best that God has made them to be.  I do feel that homework helps with that.  If there is ever a night that your child hasn't completed homework in the amount of time that you gave them, just jot me a note or send me an email, and that homework can be carried over to another time.

 2)  Tests - Please remember that I won't have your children write in their agendas about studying for tests so they won't have to try to write too much in small spaces.  Please be sure that you are keeping up with studying with your children.  They so much need you doing that with them.

                  3)  Reading Log - Please remember to fill this out each week.  It's on the back of the behavior sheets.
