ANNOUNCEMENTS
Parents check on your student's grades on a continual basis by accessing Power Teacher.

GENERAL INFORMATION

REQUIREMENTS
I require my students to follow the requirements set forth in the Course Overview and information sheets given to each one on the first day of school. I file all tests in order to have them on hand to give back to the student to study for the final exam. My final exam consists of one hundred questions taken from all the semester tests.

Numerous quizzes (end-of-section quizzes, homework checks, and weekly quizzes) are given to insure that the student is doing required homework, taking notes, and continually reviewing study materials. Missed quizzes need to be made up the day the student returns to school.  It is the student's responsibility to check on all missed work as a result of an absence.  All missed tests are made up according to the rules set forth in the Student Handbook unless the student makes different arrangements with me. A penalty is assessed on a daily basis for failing to make up missed work by the prescribed time.  Students are expected to check with me if they know in advance they are going to miss all or part of a class.

QUIZZES:   I reserve the right to give a quiz at any point after I have assigned homework.  If the student did not complete the homework at the assigned time, they will receive an automatic zero for the quiz since the quiz grade also reflects the completion of the homework assignment.  If the student is absent for any reason when the quiz is given, they must make the quiz up the day they return to school or make arrangements with the teacher.

HOMEWORK:
REMEMBER, EVERY NIGHT YOU MUST REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW!

Syllabus Minimize

Each student was given on the first day of school a Course Overview Syllabus and a History Course Overview that explains the basic expectations and requirements for my class. The student was instructed to keep this material in a History Notebook and have it in class each day. The student was also instructed to have at least one parent read this material.
