GEOMETRY Minimize

Geometry is found all throughout our world. In Geometry, students will develop reasoning and problem solving skills as they study topics such as congruence and similarity, and apply properties of lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. Students will also develop problem solving skills by using length, perimeter, area, circumference, surface area, and volume to solve real-world problems.

Frequently Asked Questions:

If I am absent, how do I make up missed work? Assignments will be posted. It is the student's responsibility to obtain missed notes and handouts from any absence. For every day a student is absent, a student has that number of days to make up his/her work. For example, if a student misses two (2) days, he/she has two (2) days to make up their work not to exceed five (5) days. Quizzes and major tests need to be made up during testing hall. If that is not possible, the student must arrange a specific time with the teacher.

What if I am struggling with a particular concept? I am available for help during homeroom/study hall everday, with the exception of Wednesday.

Do you take late assignments? Late homework will receive a zero.

Do I need to purchase my own calculator? Each student will need his/her own graphing calculator to be used in classroom activities, homework assignments, and most assessments.

Absolute Values: Be on time; Come prepared, including a positive attitude; Stay on task; Respect others.
