About Mr. Hurlbut Minimize

Mr. Hurlbut teaches 9th Grade Global History and 10th Grade Bible as well as Computer Applications classes. The father of two daughters and one son and the husband of Mrs. Denise Hurlbut, he enjoys camping and other outdoor sports. This is Mr. Hurlbut's 5th year as the Varsity Cross Country and Track coach and his 7th year teaching at Grace. He received his BA degree in Bible and BS degree in Religious Education with a minor in Psychology & Counseling from Tennessee Temple University. Mr. Hurlbut also received a Master of Divinity in New Testament Studies and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Education from Temple Baptist Seminary. Mr. Hurlbut comes to Grace after a number of years working with digital technology in the digital printing industry.

The 5 Poetic Books fall right between the 17 Historical Books (5 Books of Law & 12Books of History) and the 17 Prophetic Books (5 Major Prophets & 12 Minor Prophets).

The book of Psalms was central to the OT people of God in both their life and worship. Psalms is also right in the center of the OT.

Hebrew Poetry is not like English Poetry, but it is exciting to learn the way in which God has used various genres of literature to give us His revelation.
