I have been apart of Grace Academy for the past 20 years, first as a student and now as a teacher. I graduated from Grace in 1998 and received my B.S. from UTC in Middle Grades Edcuation in 2003.

My husband, Gabe, and I have four children Sage (10), Ian (8), and Caden (6 ) and Eli  (4).  I enjoy reading, running, playing sports, and watching football, especially the Big Orange!!

Welcome to Sixth Grade Math and World History!

First Nine Weeks Content:

Math: During the first nine weeks, students will review concepts taught in elementary, as well as completing extensive work with order of operations, statistics, and basic equations. We will also take 100 problem timed tests in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division three times a week.

World History: After completing a unit on the five themes of geography, we will begin our study of the river valley civilizations, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, and China.

Grading Policy:

              Math:

              Tests, Projects: 50%

              Quizzes: 25%

              Homework/classwork: 20%

               Preparation: 5%

              History:

              Tests, Projects, Papers: 50%

               Quizzes: 25%

               Homework: 20%

               Participation: 5%

 ** Late Homework is not accepted. A student's two lowest homework grades will be dropped.**
