Following is a list of elements that comprise the Middle & High School Program: |
PREPARING STUDENTS SPIRITUALLY We believe that a true relationship with Jesus Christ should change every area of school life. Students are encouraged in their individual spiritual growth through the study of the Bible in their daily curriculum, chapel sessions and discipleship.
PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE CHALLENGE Our goal is to prepare students to meet the challenges of their world. Through our joint enrollment program students can earn college credits before graduation. Staying on the cutting edge is important at Grace Academy. Students work with the latest computer technology.
Varied electives provide students with life skills and a broader appreciation for the arts. These include band, art, choir, drama, home economics, computer applications, consumer math and college level classes in math, science, history and English.
|
PREPARING STUDENTS THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS A highlight of the school year is our high school retreat where many lasting relationships are built between faculty and students. Middle school students enjoy many activities tailored to their social interests as well.
|
PREPARING STUDENTS THROUGH TEAMWORK Grace offers numerous opportunities for students to compete in TSSAA Inter-Scholastic Athletics. Sports participation is emphasized in a variety of middle school teams as well.
|
PREPARING STUDENTS ACADEMICALLY Students can choose the college preparatory or general academics track. Our Guidance Counselor assists students with personal needs, college preparations, scholarship opportunities and academic advising.
|
PROGRAMS In addition to the above academic tracks, we encourage our young people to sharpen their skills and talents through:
- GEOGRAPHY BEE
- ACADEMIC HONORS
- SPELLING BEE
- SCIENCE BOWL
- MATH OLYMPICS
- MUSIC COMPETITION
- NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
- COLLEGE CREDIT CLASSES
- BETA CLUB
- MOCK TRIAL
|
HEADMASTER'S NOTE It is our vision to provide a school in which having a personal daily relationship with Christ is not abnormal, a place where prayer requests and blessings can be shared without embarrassment or criticism, where character and study habits can be formed free of the the world's pressure to be mediocre.
